During my time at Peking University, I have engaged with a diverse, global community through various club activities, but my academic journey has been uniquely demanding. After completing six and a half years of secondary education entirely in English, I enrolled at PKU as the only international student in a rigorous, Chinese-taught Aerospace Engineering undergraduate program. My first year was a steep learning curve as I navigated complex technical concepts in a new language while studying alongside top local students. However, this was exactly the challenge I sought. I used the pressure as fuel to improve, and as I adapted to the language and academic expectations, my performance surged. I achieved strong results in core engineering courses, including Aerospace Materials and Manufacturing (97), Aircraft Design and Propulsion (96), Engineering Fluid Mechanics (92), and Aerodynamic Foundation (92). Overcoming these initial barriers not only solidified my technical foundation but also forged my resilience, adaptability, and ability to remain focused under intense pressure.

During my A-Level studies at Sunway College, I made it a priority to balance my academic responsibilities with active involvement in clubs and volunteering. While I am proud to have achieved excellent results on my A-Level exams, I have always believed that grades are only part of the equation and that real growth comes from diverse experiences. To broaden my perspective, I took on a role as a Student Helper in the Sunway University Marketing Department. Though the financial compensation was modest, the true value of the job was the networking. It gave me the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of people, not just within the campus community, but from all across Malaysia.
